The problem with classic vulnerability scans
CVE databases list thousands of vulnerabilities — but only a fraction are ever actively exploited. Classic vulnerability scanners produce long lists with no prioritization against real-world threat activity. Security teams drown in findings, 95% of which never lead to an attack — while the truly critical 5% get overlooked.
How Darkscope identifies attack vectors
Darkscope combines a company's technical attack surface with real threat intelligence from the dark web: which vulnerabilities are actively discussed in hacker forums? Which exploits are currently being traded? Which attacker groups are active in your industry? The result is prioritization based on actual risk — not an abstract CVSS score.
Data foundation: our own crawler network
Darkscope investigates data daily from its own crawler network: dark web sources, forums, marketplaces and threat intelligence feeds. This depth of data makes it possible to detect attack vectors before they appear in official vulnerability databases — often days or weeks earlier.
From identification to action
Every identified attack vector is assessed: how likely is exploitation? Which systems are affected? What are the recommended immediate actions? Darkscope doesn't deliver endless lists, but a clear prioritization of the vectors that actually need to be acted on.
